Events unfold in the 16th century in the Ottoman Empire. Sultan the Magnificent Suleyman becomes the new Sultan of Turkey at a very early age - at 24 years ...           Just in a few years earlier in one of the regular raids of nomadic Crimean Tatars in the Ukrainian land, they were attacked and devastated the town in the Lviv region, and the children and girls was taken as slavery. One of them was Anastasiya Lisovskaya, who was brought together with other slaves to Istanbul and sold into the harem of the Sultan. She behaved there very disobediently and tried to escape, but after realizing that she could not manage to do that, she started to try with other ways to gain influence and power in the harem ... Quite by chance at it draws the attention of the Sultan himself...

For the shooting of the film was created 2100 square meters of scenery decoration that reflects the interiors and exteriors of historical objects, in which there are events of the film. In order to accurately convey the palace decor, for decorations were used 1000 sq. meters of stone, 1800 sq. meters of real marble, 2500 pcs. iron profile, 1.5 tons of paint. For the scenery decoration during 5 months 120 people were working, including a team of sculptors and artists, consisting of 30 people.

Topkapı Palace (closed on Tuesdays, tickets to the Harem – as extra rcharge)

These strict regulations were introduced not only because there lived concubines , but also the children of the Sultan, including the most revered woman of the Ottoman Empire - " Walid - Sultan " the mother of the Sultan.

Blue Mosque

The name " Blue " mosque has received thanks to the huge , more than 20,000 number of blue and white handmade ceramic tiles. The architecture combines the two styles - classic Ottoman and Byzantine . In the patterns of the mosque were dominated floral motifs - the traditional tulips , lilies, carnations and roses , and ornaments of different colors on a white background.
