We had 2 days, walking through a farm, traditional village, cycling, lunch with a family, Buffalo ride, water wheels, rafting. A great experience, highly recommend the tour with Nga.

Lucky for anyone reading this, this adventure fell in to the later bracket. Wendy from the Divi Travel team was super helpful and went above and beyond what is expected. She was more than willing to help with future bookings and travel without being pushy which I appreciate a lot. All the information was useful and spot on. Hoang was my tour guide for the day, he picked me up at the exact time stated from the hotel where our adventure started. First you go and see how the locals process cotton from its raw state into beautiful scarfs. It’s fascinating and you are encouraged have a go (to which I wish you luck as it looks easier than it really is)! Then we went to a local bar a few doors down where you can try a huge assortment of flavoured rice wine, although I stuck to trying a few so that I could remember the rest of the day! (I’m glad I did as it only gets better). You then head down to see the water wheels which allow water to be elevated from the river so that it can reach the higher level rice paddies, a very clever system. Then we scootered off to where the rafts were which was very scenic and beautiful. You don’t go a huge distance, but you stop in the shallows where you can get out and have a swim, a splash or skim stones on the water (what ever tickles your fancy really). You also get a banquet on the boat which includes fish, pork, chicken, spring rolls, bananas and much more which was all cooked perfectly and delicious. Once finished with rafting, we then went to Hieu Falls waterfall, which was the perfect way to finish the day, plenty of photo opportunities and another chance to have a swim and cool down. You are able to climb up stairs to view or you can get wet and messy by climbing up the waterfall itself which is what I opted for. I was lucky enough to be on the tour by myself so we travelled on scooter as opposed to car) Hoang was slow and steady which made you feel safe, his English is better than mine (I am from England) which made communication very simple and his knowledge was extensive given that he has only been doing it for less than 1 year. The tour is adaptable depending on what you/ the group wants. if there’s something you don’t want to do, then you simply don’t do it. I skipped the 4km trek because I had done a 10km trek the previous day in the same area. Awesome day, best I’ve had in Vietnam so far. Thank you for a wonderful day Hoang and Wendy! June is very hot and humid.Posted on TripadvisorVerified A highlight of our Vietnam trip – unforgettable days in Pu Luong and Ninh Binh Our 3-day journey through Pu Luong and Ninh Binh with Divi Travel exceeded our expectations from start to finish and became one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Vietnam. Everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Wendy was the kindest and most helpful organizer we could have wished for. She was always responsive, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of from the planning process. The tour was thoughtfully planned and offered a perfect balance of sightseeing, traditional activities, and free time. It was incredible how much we were able to experience within just three days, only a few hours from Hanoi. Pu Luong was an absolute highlight, with breathtaking landscapes and a unique opportunity to get a close glimpse into local life through authentic community experiences. The rice terraces, peaceful atmosphere, and stunning scenery were unforgettable. Ninh Binh was equally impressive, and we had the chance to visit some of its most beautiful UNESCO World Heritage sites. As an extra recommendation, if you have a free evening in Ninh Binh, we highly recommend visiting Hoa Lu Old Town. If you only have three days available, this tour is an excellent way to discover the region in a short time. However, if your schedule allows, we would recommend choosing a longer tour to fully immerse yourself in everything these beautiful destinations have to offer. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We highly recommend booking a room with a view of the rice terraces in Pu Luong—the view was simply breathtaking. The meals included during the trip were excellent. We appreciated the variety, quality, and the opportunity to experience authentic local cuisine. Transportation throughout the tour was punctual, comfortable, and completely stress-free. Everything ran smoothly, allowing us to fully enjoy the journey. We are truly grateful for the wonderful memories created during these three days. The attention to detail, warm hospitality, and excellent organization made this trip incredibly special. We would wholeheartedly recommend Divi Travel to anyone looking for a memorable and worry-free travel experience, and we would be delighted to travel with them again in the future. Nebst allen angepriesenen Highlights baute Eddie noch spontan den lokalen Markt ein. Am Schluss überschattete ein Unfall noch diese phantastische und absolut empfehlenswerte Tour. Aber auch hier reagierte man höchst professionell. Sowohl von Wendy (die macht eine sensationelle Planung und Organisation) wie auch durch Eddie und speziell auch unserem Fahrer. The first 1/2 day, 4 of us had booked on. Eddie, was really easy going and accommodated our request to visit the Bat Cave which wasn't actually on the agenda for the afternoon. Eddie led us through some truly spectacular scenery, ensured a good supply of cold water and toilet breaks, as well as an ice cream pitstop. He went out of his way to help us snap some great photos. He even joined us in the evening at a local restaurant which was showcasing traditional dancing and singing. The following day we joined Eddie for a jam-packet morning tour: visiting Pho Doan Market, A Weaving village (where we had a fabulous little workshop learning how cotton is manufactured, all with hand tools), treking through spectacular scenery, lunch on a water raft and finishing at the waterwheel farm for a delicious coconut coffee. But I have had a very busy schedule while in Asia. I want you to know that this Pu Luong and Ninh Binh tour with local life was the BEST TOUR I have every taken.
