How to choose your travel style in Vietnam
Most of our trips run as small-group tours: you join other travellers, the guide speaks English and the price shown on each tour is per person. If you would rather travel only with your own family or friends, every tour can also run as a private tour on request, and we send you a quote within 24 hours.
Adventure trips are for people who like to walk and ride: village treks and bamboo rafting in Pu Luong, the Ha Giang Loop on an easy-rider motorbike, cave expeditions around Phong Nha. Expect 8–15 km of walking a day on village paths, with luggage carried by car.
Cultural trips focus on people and crafts: conical hat and incense villages near Hanoi, silk weaving in Pu Luong, the imperial city of Hue and the old town of Hoi An. Walking is light and the pace is slower.
Family trips keep driving times short and add easy activities children enjoy, such as cooking classes, cycling on flat roads and boat trips in Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay. Children aged 0–5 travel free on most tours.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price per person or per group?
Prices on our tour pages are per person for the group tour. Private tours are quoted on request.
Can I mix styles in one trip?
Yes. Many guests combine a cultural day in Hanoi with two or three days of trekking in Pu Luong or Sapa. Send us your dates and we will suggest a route.
Do I need to be fit for adventure tours?
You should be able to walk 3–5 hours with breaks. Routes can be shortened, and a car can pick you up on most trekking days.
