Mai Chau is a picturesque rural district located in Phu Tho province, about 140 kilometers from Hanoi. It’s known for its stunning landscapes, including lush green rice paddies, towering limestone mountains, and serene valleys. The tour includes cycling through Mai Chau Valley, visiting a local silk weaving village, trekking to local houses, and walking across beautiful rice fields to experience authentic village life. The journey continues to Tat Nang Waterfall, a hidden waterfall surrounded by lush forest, offering a cool and refreshing atmosphere. You then relax at Bo Am Hot Spring, where the natural mineral water helps relieve fatigue and restore energy after outdoor activities.

Children’s rates

0 – 5 years old: One child in this age group can join the tour free of charge. Transportation costs $18 USD per way for a private seat on the Car transfer. This child will share a bed with their parents. For each additional child in this age group, the cost is 50% of the adult price, including transportation.
6 – 9 years old: 75% of the adult price, with an extra bed provided.
10 years and older: 100% of the adult price, with an extra bed provided.

What to expect 2-day itinerary

1 Day 1 Ha Noi/ Ninh Binh - Mai Chau Valley - Nhim Cave (L,D).

7h30 – Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter or Ninh Binh (08:00 – 08:30). Expect a 3,5 hours drive to Mai Chau. Arrive in Mai Chau which is considered the capital of the Thai people. Have lunch in the traditional house with specialties of the Northwest mountains. Take a small rest to relax or a quick walk in the narrow alleys to admire the local life. Start the Cycling tour to discover the beautiful Mai Chau valley. You will pass through fields and villages and get the opportunity to discover more about the unique cultural activities of the White Thai ethnic group. Take a break to visit brocade production facilities made by locals. You are welcome to visit the shops and to buy souvenirs from this unique place. Your next destination is Nhim Cave. From the foot of the mountain, you will walk uphill to explore the cave. You can enjoy the fantastic view of Mai Chau valley.

17h00 – Return to your hotel to enjoy the swimming pool and Dinner. Including: Transfer from Ha Noi to Mai Chau, Lunch, Dinner, Tour guide, Accommodation.

2 Day 2 Tat Nang Waterfall - Bo Am Hot spring - Ha Noi (B,L).

7:00 – 08h00 Enjoy breakfast at the hotel or homestay. After breakfast, prepare your luggage and complete the check-out procedures.

08h30 Our driver and tour guide pick you up at your hotel. The journey begins with a scenic drive to Thung Khe Pass, also known as White Stone Pass, or alternatively a stop at a Top View Café along the way.

09:30 – 10h30 Continue the journey as the vehicle transfers guests to Tat Nang Waterfall, located about one hour from Mai Chau town. Along the way, you can enjoy peaceful rural scenery and views of local villages.

10:30 – 11h30 Upon arrival at Tat Nang Waterfall, you explore the natural waterfall nestled in a forested area. The cool and refreshing atmosphere makes it an ideal place to relax, walk around, take photos, and enjoy the tranquil sound of flowing water.

11h30 – 12h30 You continue a short drive (approximately 10 minutes) to Bo Am Hot Spring. Here, you enjoy a relaxing experience at the natural hot spring. Soaking in the warm mineral water helps relieve fatigue and refresh the body after the morning’s exploration.

12:30 – 13h30: The vehicle returns to a local restaurant, where you will enjoy lunch and have time to rest. Free time for relaxation and personal activities before departing for Hanoi.

14h20: Say goodbye to beautiful Mai Chau and take the bus back to HaNoi.

18:00 – 18h30: Arrival at your hotel in HaNoi. Including: Transfer Mai Chau to Ha Noi, Breakfast, Lunch, Tour guide.
